March 2nd

As everyone know that March is Reading month!  This is a very exciting month with lots of fun reading activities.  We will start of March with an assembly about our One School One Book: Frindle.  Everyone in the school will be reading the same book, the same chapter every night!  We will have quizzes and other fun activities to go along with it!  Keep up with the fun and read every night!
Friday is Read Across America Day.  We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday.  We will be reading many Dr. Seuss books all month long with fun activities to go with it. 
Another fun activities that will get the parents involved is having a mystery reader!  Mystery readers are parent who come into the classroom to read to the students.  This is always a great thing for the students to look forward to.  If 2:00 doesn't work for you then please talk to me about setting it up for another time!  The students really enjoy this!
Monday there will be a half day and regular start time!

In math we began fractions!  Take a deep breath and stress that one is out of 2 for 1/2.  Drawing pictures will help. Good luck and if you need anything let me know.
